Hi friend, I’m Meg!

I’m a coach, connector, entrepreneur, Ironman finisher (Louisville, October 2019) and recently I added cancer survivor to my list of descriptive words. However, the most important roles I hold are wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

I’ve channeled my creative, adventurous spirit and a life-long passion for serving others into a career and calling and I rarely have days that feel “like work” because my work brings me so much joy.

In 2016 I founded my coaching and consulting business in hopes that I could help strengthen individuals and organizations and I’ve been lucky enough to help hundreds of people and dozens of non-profits over the last several years. I work in a variety of ways. I offer life and executive coaching and work one-on-one with individuals. I also offer group coaching sessions and retreats. I’ve worked with non-profit leadership teams and boards and small to mid-sized businesses. I’ve even been called in to facilitate sessions for women’s getaway weekends, a great way to grow with some of your closest friends.

My Life Mission Statement

I am the rock that creates the ripple of compassion, courage, and kindness.

About Me

Thanks to my flexible business schedule, I have time to do things that are important to me like hiking with my dog, cycling with my friends, volunteering at the shelter or participate in writing workshops. I am an observer too, I love watching my kids play tennis, soccer & dance. I love to travel and riding my bike long distances (I have a goal to ride across at least one state every year.) I also love going on adventures with my family.

I’m a dance mom, or as my daughter would say, “You’re the mom of a dancer, not a full-on dance mom.” I have never quite learned how to do all the hair and make-up required for competitive dance. I don’t understand how competitive dance is scored, but I love watching my daughter shine as she expresses herself on a stage through movement. I love how dance can connect us to emotions when we least expect it. I love dancing too, but I can’t follow the choreography. I am a free-spirited dancer.

I can often be found paddle boarding, climbing, cycling, ziplining, hiking in the woods at the Whitewater Center or practicing stillness and meditation at a yoga studio. Denver Down Dog is one of my favorites!

I work hard, but I’m good at taking breaks to enjoy all life has to offer.

My happy places include: biking just about anywhere, I recently rode across the state of New York with Empire State Ride, raising funds for cancer research. I love playing bingo or enjoying the beach at Fripp Island with my family, being the base of a pyramid with my UD Flyer Fems (my college girls), training for triathlons with my Tri it for Life tribe, or building or repairing houses with my ASP family.

When we can squeeze in date night, I enjoy playing tennis, cycling, and just being with my better half. After 20 years together, I still wonder how I got so lucky. My partner serves as a Police Sergeant and Crisis Negotiator with CMPD and, for the last 16 years, he’s also been a high school tennis coach. His career provides endless stories and an interesting life. He has served as my greatest cheerleader in business, fighting cancer, and on the marathon and triathlon courses. He has helped me get back on my bike after crashes, both literally and figuratively. He’s gracious about my escape time for girls’ weekends. He’s encouraged my entrepreneurial career from day one. I couldn’t have grown into who I am without him by my side, and I am forever grateful he chose me.

Words to Live By

In Gretchen Reubin’s book the Happiness Project, she writes that people should create their own personal commandments.

Here are mine:

1) Be wildly, courageously generous

2) Believe anything is possible.

3) Bravely face the unknown.

4) Choose courage over comfort.

5) Connect.

6) Create.

7) Express gratitude.

8) Get outside.

9) Love everybody always.

10) Practice radical compassion & kindness.
